I have had an amazing week working at Ellenbrook Community Primary School near Worsley for their Book Art week that took over the whole school.
I have been based in the Early Years and Foundation Stage working with the Nursery class and Reception Bells and Whistles classes. We have been focusing on Traditional tales and have produced 3 long story map textile banners that are 50 cm X 2.5 metres.
The banners are based on The Three little Pigs,The Three Billy Goats Gruff and Little Red Riding Hood are a mixture of wax resist with ink and photo transfer paper, the characters are interpreted directly from the children's drawings and created in felt. The children had great skills in drawing, cutting and sewing. Below are a few photos of the lovely work that we produced,
