I have been busy for the last few weeks producing work to exhibit for the Hidden Studios exhibition.
Images of 1908 maps of Altrincham have been digitally printed onto fabric and developed with applique, reverse applique and stitch.
The pieces record the buildings and roads that have remained and changed over the years. The Chapel Street piece commemorates the street where 161 men volunteered and 29 lost their lives during WW1. King George V called it the 'bravest little street in England'.
My work will be featured in the lovely Riddles Bar on Greenwood St, just along the road from Market House. from 24th June - 9th July 2016.
The Hidden Studios exhibition takes place at venues all over Altrincham with a variety of works by over 30 selected artists.
