Over the weekend I worked with families to create two 3 metre long patchwork collages of drawings.
The drop-in workshop took place in the gallery atrium with inspiration coming from the work of Vallette and Lowry and their views of the city. Families were encouraged to respond to the interior of the gallery and the views through the large glass windows with drawings in pencil and pen and rubbings with graphite stick. I then taped the drawings together with lots of masking tape, gum strip and stickers.
